eWHORM Presents Latest Results at DZIF/PEG Joint Meeting in Bonn
From 23–24 February, the Joint Meeting of DZIF (German Center for Infection Research) and PEG (Paul Ehrlich Society for Infection Therapy) took place in Bonn, Germany. The event provided an outstanding opportunity to present our work, with tangible recognition to match.
eWHORM Coordinator Prof. Marc Hübner (University Hospital Bonn) shared the latest results from our studies in a talk titled “Development of Corallopyronin A and Oxfendazole for the Treatment of Filarial Infections.”
PhD student Hannah Wegner (University Hospital Bonn) presented a co-authored poster titled “Vaccine adjuvants can boost oxfendazole efficacy in the Litomosoides sigmodontis filarial rodent model,” which was awarded the Best Poster Prize, adding further visibility to the project’s results.
eWHORM also featured prominently in the keynote lecture delivered by Laurent Fraisse, Research & Development Director at DNDi (Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative), further underlining the project’s relevance in the global fight against neglected tropical diseases.
A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to making the DZIF/PEG Joint Meeting 2026 such a productive and inspiring event for eWHORM.
